We visited PLAYMOBIL FunPark one Saturday morning in celebration of our youngest child’s third birthday. The name aptly says it all — a whole lot of different kinds of fun in a family-oriented play park! With over a dozen themed indoor and outdoor attractions, this leisure park did not disappoint.

Attractions

My children’s favorite outdoor features were the Medieval Knight’s Castle, Pirate Ship and Power Paddle Lake. They had a lot of fun exploring the watchtower, dungeon and underground passage of the castle, balancing through the wooden planks to get to the pirate ship, and riding on the paddle boats in the man-made lake. The climbing and winter play areas provided a nice setting for indoor fun and a much needed break for parents to sit down on benches while the kids burn more energy in a large, enclosed space.

Dining

The HOB Center, PLAYMOBIL’s main hub for dining and entertainment, was equally impressive. A cafe and snack bar sit behind a large slew of dining booths where families can hang out. There is an adjoining pub and beer garden to purchase delicious meals and drinks. An impressive stage envelopes a corner of the center, where special shows are held on a regular basis. The highlight of the HOB center is PLAYMOBIL City, which is home to the life-sized versions of the beloved PLAYMOBIL Playtime Worlds.

How to Get There

Located in the town of Zirndorf near Nuremberg, PLAYMOBIL FunPark is 2 1/2 hours away from Stuttgart, a little over 3 hours from Kaiserslautern and just over 2 1/2 from Wiesbaden.
