Mark your calendars for one of the Rheinland Pfalz’s biggest events of the year – the 2024 Bad Dürkheim Wurstmarkt, which runs from September 6-10 and 13-16. The world’s largest wine festival, it includes entertaining events and incredible food for old and young alike.
Highlights for the 2024 Bad Dürkheim Wurstmarkt
Key highlights this year include:
- Saturday, September 7, 6 p.m.: Historic opening ceremony followed by a barrel tapping by Wurstmarkt master winemaker Helmut Darting
- Monday, September 9, 6 p.m.: Crowning of the wine queen
- Tuesday, September 10, 4 p.m.: Autograph session with members of 1 FC Kaiserslautern football team
- Friday, September 13, 1 p.m.: Wine tasting, Jupiter Ferris Wheel
- Monday, September 16, 9 p.m.: Closing fireworks show
The festival opens at 6 p.m. on September 7, and opens at 11 a.m. on all other days. As the Wurstmarkt organizers say, closing time is when the last guest leaves!
Getting There
Enjoy the Bad Dürkheim Wurstmarkt without having to worry about driving. The festival is easy to get to by bus or Deutsche Bahn train from any direction, all around the clock.
