Pony Rides, Camping and More!

Ponyland Ebentaler Hof is a happy oasis nestled above the hills of Rüdesheim! It is a perfect escape in the beautiful forest with animals, camping and a café.

Day Trip or Weekend Getaway

One of the great aspects of Ponyland is that it can be a fun day trip or it can transform to a weekend away. Overnight stays can be at a hotel or a lovely campground.

Getting Started

After purchasing our pony ride tickets from the shop, we then explored the area. We first had to say hello to all of the other animals, which included feeding some hungry goats!

The Park

Next to the pony area is a fun vintage playground, which looked like it has been entertaining children for many years.

Surely, every child loves to be able to climb up on a real bright-green tractor!

What also turned out to be tons of fun was the vintage merry-go-round that cost one Euro. Because it was from the 70s, I was sure that it was only for show. However, it actually still worked really well!

Pony Ride

The park was a great time, but now it was time to get our pony! Here is how it works. After buying your ticket (8 Euros), you give it to the the park’s staff member in the pony area.

The pony attendant gets your mighty steed ready for the journey, while first ensuring it’s the correct size for your child. We had our eyes on this little guy! How adorable!

Instructions are also given, such as where to hold the brace around the pony to pull him along. You are also told not let your pony eat any grass along the way. If you do, it will keep trying to eat the entire ride! I learned this the hard way, so you must be firm right off the bat. The actual pony excursion lasts approximately 20-30 minutes.

Let’s Go!

So we were ready to go!! The path is gorgeous and it travels through their animal fields then through the enchanting woods.

Grab a Bite to Eat

We had a fantastic time on the walk and our horse was so well behaved. After working up quite an appetite and thirst, we dined at the cozy café located in the main building.

The delicious cake and coffee was just what I needed.  It’s worth noting that the scrumptious apples in the cake were local and very fresh.
